Waiting

Yup, that is what we are doing......waiting for the bomb to drop. Chrysler announced that they are shutting the 3rd shift down. All of the temps including the 2 year temps are getting laid off, plus some of the full timers!!! 1000 people total!! That means Rob is getting laid off....we still do not know when. Rumors are flying abound.....some say week before X-mas so they do not have to pay the people losing their jobs the holiday pay they so deserve. Some people say by the end of Feb.....the rumors really piss me off. I wish they would just let people know now and I really really really hope it is not until after X-mas. It was 2 weeks ago they did a 2 week lay off and they only gave 3 days notice.....nice huh? We lost $1,400 bucks on that deal. The only thing that is going to bail us out of the hole is the contract signing bonus they will have to give...Rob gets it to! $3,000 so after taxes and unions share we will end up with maybe $1,900. Thank the lord for this money.

Kids are good.....Boys are both doing pretty good in school although Robbie is being stubborn and Brian is being just plain old naughty. I even got a call from the principal about Brian....he has been talked to by Rob and I so he has been warned.....next naughty episode he loses computer time for a week. Hopefully that will keep him from being naughty!
Courtney has recovered from her hernia surgery really well...she is almost all healed up! She is still trying to play the "I can't pick up those toys because I have an owwie" lol lil stinker! She has a scar but it is fading.

Pretty much the same old stuff going on with me....I am having muscle spasms and nerve pain in new places....oh joy....I can't get in to see my neurologist until Nov 21st....hoping she can do something for the pain and spasms. My Social Security appeal is being worked on, only reason I know that is because they called me.....while Courtney was in surgery no less. I had to tell the lady I could not provide dates and addresses for her at the moment because my daughter was in surgery. It was really nice she seemed concerned for my lil girl and was happy to wait until I could call her back.....which I promptly did the next morning. She even asked how Courtney was doing! I am really hoping I have a kind and considerate adjudicator this time and will not get denied again....praying really hard that it passes. I cannot afford to wait a year for a hearing :-(
We really need this income so make life a little easier around here....the pay check to pay check living is tough.


I am going to be an aunt again!!! Woot, I was totally shocked at first but am cool with it now. My sister was freaked out big time, she was so not expecting this as she is a single mom. She will be fine, we all love her and support her in her decisions. I think I will be babysitting the baby 3 days a week when Trisha goes back to work....how cool is that!? I can spoil the baby rotten and send it home at the end of the day! A baby to snuggle again!!!!!!!! I am soooo excited! She is 11 weeks along so far so good!

My in-laws just called and had to cancel their trip up to see the kids :-( My mother-in-law is having gall bladder surgery on the 19th. She has been in a lot of pain and unable to eat well for a few months now and it is just getting worse. She either had to take that date or wait until January for a scheduled date. I hope all goes well for her, the kids were disappointed but understand as much as they can at their age.

The kittens are getting huge....not really kittens anymore as they are 7 months old. They are so rowdy and funny as heck to watch. We are so glad we kept 2. Blackie is getting really big and filled out. Purrey is tall and lean. My older cat Meekah has come to accept them much better....I have even see her play with them a little!
